Bio
Playing live music has always been my great musical pleasure. A lifetime of gigging in every imaginable situation and style of music led me to my "claim to fame" of playing lead trumpet for Bette Midler on her three "Kiss My Brass" tours, which were #1 in the USA and Australia. Through those tours, I appeared on The Tonight Show, the Ellen Degeneres Show, the Australian Tonight Show, A&E Biography, Bravo, and also in Rolling Stone & Entertainment Weekly magazines. I've recorded extensively for CD, DVD, and movie soundtracks, and am currently promoting my jazz CD "It Had To Be You", which is being played on radio stations in 20 countries around the globe.
I have also been a pilot since age 16, and was one of the youngest commercial pilots in the country after just turning 18, always thinking that would be a good "day gig". My flying career has moved me to some great musical locations around the USA - in 1991 to Ft. Lauderdale, FL as a flight instructor and charter pilot; in 1994 to Santa Barbara, CA as a pilot for SkyWest; and in 2000 to Minneapolis, MN as a pilot for Northwest (now Delta), which has been my semi-permanent residence since 2002
When not playing music or flying... fitness, sports, and travel fill up the free time.
